Membrane Separation System

Ariseo Water has a wide range in design, manufacture and supplying of modern membrane technology products and Membrane Separation System solutions.

  • Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO)
  • Nano Filtration Plant (NF)
  • Ultrafiltration Plant (UF)
Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO)

RO Plant is a separation process that uses pressure to force a solution through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows the pure solvent to pass to the other side. More formally, it is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying pressure in excess of the osmotic pressure.

We offer both customized and standardized packages, skid-mounted and containerized RO Plants with Semi Automatic, Automatic and Remote Monitoring operation modes for commercial and industrial purposes. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems are among the most economical and efficient methods of dissolved solids removal. At Ariseo, we design plants considering water source, temperature, desired flux, SDI, beta factor, scaling ratio and membrane type to ensure long-term performance.

Reverse Osmosis Applications
  • Brackish Water Treatment
  • Sea Water Desalination
  • Effluent Recycle
Electro Deionisation Plant (EDI)

EDI is a continuous process that utilizes chemical-free regeneration. Regeneration downtime is eliminated and storage and handling of acid and alkali are avoided. These systems are compact, require minimal maintenance and provide high reliability. Membrane Separation System solutions are often integrated with EDI for high-purity water treatment applications.

Membrane Separation System
Nano Filtration Plant (NF)

Nanofiltration is a membrane technology very similar to reverse osmosis. A nanofiltration membrane primarily retains divalent ions and larger molecules. During filtration, the nanofiltration unit is positioned between reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration.

Nanofiltration is widely used for drinking water and industrial process water treatment. It is effective for partial softening and reduction of color and humus from surface water in industries such as iron, metal and paper mills. Membrane Separation System technology is extensively used in nanofiltration applications.

Ultrafiltration Plant (UF)

Ultrafiltration Plant is a membrane-based technology used for separating higher molecular weight particles from water. It can remove particles as small as 0.01 microns. Various membrane configurations and sizes are available, with Hollow Fiber and Spiral Wound membranes being the most commonly used.

Ultrafiltration systems are suitable for both pre-treatment and post-treatment processes. Their key features include simple operation, easy maintenance, automatic operation, compact design, safety interlocks, and automatic forward and back flushing. Membrane Separation System technology plays a vital role in ultrafiltration processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Membrane Separation Systems

A Membrane Separation System is an advanced water treatment technology that uses semi-permeable membranes to separate contaminants, dissolved solids, bacteria, and other impurities from water. The process allows clean water to pass through the membrane while retaining unwanted substances. Membrane Separation Systems are widely used in Waste Water Treatment Plants, Waste Water Recycling Systems in India, and Seawater Desalination Plants to improve water quality and support water reuse.

The main separation methods used in water treatment include filtration, sedimentation, membrane filtration, and ion exchange. These methods help remove suspended particles, dissolved contaminants, and unwanted minerals from water. They are commonly used in Membrane Separation Systems, Waste Water Treatment Plants, and Ion Exchange Water Treatment in India to achieve efficient water purification.

The four major membrane technologies used in a Membrane Separation System are Microfiltration (MF), Ultrafiltration (UF), Nanofiltration (NF), and Reverse Osmosis (RO). Each membrane type is designed to remove specific contaminants and impurities. These technologies are widely used in Waste Water Recycling Systems in India, Seawater Desalination Plants, and industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant applications.

MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) technology is an advanced Membrane Separation System that combines biological treatment with membrane filtration. It is widely used in Sewage Water Treatment Plants in India to produce high-quality treated water suitable for reuse. MBR systems are commonly implemented in Waste Water Recycling Systems in India and industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant projects.

Common separation techniques used in a Membrane Separation System include filtration, sedimentation, centrifugation, distillation, evaporation, membrane filtration, adsorption, and ion exchange. These processes help remove physical, chemical, and biological contaminants from water and are widely used in Waste Water Treatment Plants and industrial water purification systems.

The key treatment steps in a Membrane Separation System typically include screening, sedimentation, filtration, biological treatment, and membrane filtration. These steps work together to remove contaminants and improve water quality. They are commonly used in Sewage Water Treatment Plants and Waste Water Recycling Systems in India to ensure safe and efficient water treatment.
